This was my final project for both my stop motion and compositing classes. It was a very fun challenge blending animation with real footage- especially those final scenes where the two are so closely interacting! Many hours with the roto-brush went into this one...
Animation test using replacement animation. Sculpted 12 individual wolves. (Good practice! Ultimately would have been too time-consuming for the final project, but the lighting ended up looking REALLY cool!)
Practice makes perfect! I ended up going with clay on glass for the final wolf animations. This made it very malleable and easy to create such quick-moving shots with.
